Guinivere Victoria "TORI" Rogers
January 3, 1998 - October 18, 2010. Today, I lost my best friend. Tori, you and I have spent nearly every day together for the last 12 and 1/2 years. You have been by my side sharing it all with me. We have logged many miles together with our daily trips for family caregiving. The backseat of my car was your domaine and it is empty now. I will miss you and I sharing our daily pumpkin loaf at Starbucks and how you would pop up to share a few nuts with us at happy hour at the end of each day. You were the reason why I decided to help other Airedales through rescue back when you were a goofy teenager. You helped with homechecks, Airedale pick ups, placement trips, giving a helping paw to those in need and giving all of that time that could have been devoted to you to me to keep the rescue effort going. You were laying there by my side through it all. Of course, your Dad was always your special guy as were your kids. When we picked you up in NCAL at 10 weeks old, we all knew you were for us as you were the only one who broke from the pack in the xpen to come over to meet us and then, when the bumbleball was tossed in the mix, bolted back and won the ball from the others. You were always Miss Socialable wanting to meet and greet. At the Airedale get together on the central coast, you were the only Airedale who would climb the beach hill to the gate to meet each new Airedale that came in; then you would return to socializing with the others. Your favorite activity when you were older and one that we did only a few days ago was your daily walk to Ken's for a hot beverage for me and then 8 blocks to the pet store where you would get special treats and a daily hello from the staff. Along the way, you would meet and greet each dog with a waggy tail; even those who were not as socialable. You were such a good teacher to other dogs. They would relax and enjoy your company. You loved your collar. It always had to be on and I think you liked those funny scarfs I would put on you too. Oh, did you like to travel and stay in hotels. I think you enjoyed our travels more than we did. Of course, The Hallmark at Cannon Beach along with Residence Inns were your favorites. You were always a perfect hotel guest. Late in life, you accepted your setbacks with dignity and grace. When you could no longer get up on your own, you would allow us to do that for you. When you had to be reminded how good your food was, you let me hand feed you to get you started. The crunchies had to go but that was okay too. Accupuncture was accepted with a nap and water therapy with a smile as long as you got your almond treats along the way. You seemed to forget your setbacks when you went to the cabin on Guemes Island. You loved the property and beachwalks and acted like you were 5 years old again on your visits. Tori, you had to say goodbye to your first foster and only boyfriend, Jack, of Guemes Island in December. That loud bark I heard the morning you passed had to be Jack coming for you. Tori, you have touched so many people in your life, you will be missed and never forgotten. To my best friend. a piece of me has gone with you. Things will just never be the same. Until we meet again... I love you. Mom

Merlin
10/16/1998 - 9/18/2010 In loving memory of Merlin...Alaska fishing trip, Stika, Alaska. Merlin, sweetest dog I ever had. Spent the first four years of his life in a laundry room and lived the rest of his years living as an Airedale should...outdoors living on a horse ranch and travelling the northwest with me.

Buddy
April 27, 2000 - September 20, 2020 To honor the passing of Buddy...the most loving and devoted Airedale owned and loved by Karen Badgley...a friend to all humans and "friendly" dogs.

Andy
Andy crossed the bridge very peacefully resting in his Mom's loving arms. Waiting on the other side are his three lifetime friends Hank, Emma, and Carmen. Andy had all a friend could want in life. His people loved and cared for him and he had the best of everything. He was always surrounded by his friends and they had 35 acres of woods to run free in and explore. Andy was a one off Airedale with a personality that made you laugh out loud and sometimes even shed a tear. He is gone, but will never be forgotten by anyone who knew and loved him.

Kona Koo
June 28, 2007 - July 22, 2010. Our precious Kona is now at peace. I have been mourning his loss since his first incident 3 months after he came into our lives and now the day I have dreaded has finally come. What a wonderful time we had together the past two years. He truly was the best dog we ever had despite the one major flaw that he had. We have never experienced a companion like this before. He followed us everywhere we went in the house and planted himself wherever we were. He truly loved being with us at all times. He always did what we asked him to do, so obedient and the greatest love ever. We have to beg for Murray's affection and Kona, couldn't ever get enough. I got up in the night to take a few photos of our last moments together. He always slept on his back with legs all over the place. I will miss giving him kisses and saying "Kona Koo I love you"! Forever in my heart.
