Zoey
We adopted our Airedale from you via "Airedale Terrier Rescue" on 5/17/02. We named her Zoey and think she was around 1 1/2 to 2 years old at the time. You and Gordon brought her to our home in Hillsboro and she fell asleep on the floor while we were talking. With deep sadness we had to put her down with the help of a wonderful Vet in North Plains on 12/10/12. It was such a heart breaking experience for us to let her go as we loved her so very much. She was such a loving & funny character who was very dear to us and basically took over our home. I wanted to let you know how much she meant to us and have attached a picture of Zoey from last Summer. Also, to thank you for the opportunity to adopt a dog who needed to be rescued and placed in a loving home. You both made this such an easy and rewarding experience for us.
Oliver
Dear sweet Oliver. Tears stain this page but we feel so blessed having shared our time together. You entered our home a raggedy mess with a heart the size of Kansas. Your spirit and energy instantly filled our home and transferred it into the canine version of I Love Lucy. You immediately teamed up with your new sister, Gracie, and the Gracie and Oliver Show was born. Oliver and Gracie – separable only through death, and now – both united. Left with incredible loving memories, we no longer mourn but miss you every moment of every day. We look for your eager face and wagging rear end at the window each time we come home. In the car we look for your face in the rear view mirror, full of excitement to just be going anywhere. You taught the drummer to march to your beat and we are all the better for it. How very special you were, sweet puppy, giving the world 14 beautiful years. The world was your play field and us, your greatest, loving fans.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue
Other dogs cannot compare and be as beautiful as you!
We will miss you and you will always be in our hearts!!Ella was a beautiful girl. We had her for 4 years. She always made us laugh and smile. She will be always be remembered for her love of animals and people and her exuberance, for her love of playing chase. If you would picture, and if we let her she could do this all day; we would pretend to run after her in the backyard by stomping our feet a few times and Ella would start running around as fast as she could with all her might, and always with a big smile on her face. That smile will always be in our hearts and in our minds. Ella you are the best!!
Mylie
My Mylie left me the last part of June of this year and crossed the Rainbow Bridge to a better place. Even though I only had her for less than a year and a half she had such an impact on my life. I did not know how empty my heart and my house had become until she passed away. She was such a sweat heart and I do miss her very much. I’m very fortunate that our town just recently opened a pet cemetery which my Mylie is the first to be laid to rest there. Now I can go visit her whenever I feel the need to or just want to. Until I see you again Mylie, remember, I love you.
Blossom
April 3, 2012 It is with a sad and heavy heart that we write to tell you that Blossom Light passed away today at 11:00am from severe heart disease. She was at home, warm and comfortable and we were right at her side petting and kissing her and assuring her how loved she was. Blossom has been my constant companion for the last year and loved going to work with me every day as a ‘therapy dog’. Caring for and loving this sweet, gentle and easy-going dog this last year has been an honor for us both. We didn’t have Blossom for very long and much less time than we had hoped, but would not have traded a minute of our time with this wonderful dog. She was ½ Airedale Terrier and ½ Golden Retriever and embodied the best qualities of each of those breeds.
We encourage anyone who is considering becoming a dog owner to please consider rescuing one from your local animal shelter or one of the many breed rescue groups.
Thank you to all who have been so kind and supportive these last 2 months as we have struggled with her growing medical condition and trying in vain to delay her passing. Your support and love has been much appreciated.
