Tilly is a sweet, silly, perky-eared dog who is 8 and is truly always young at heart. She has been the fourth addition to a family of three for all her years, providing companionship for an only child, the kind of protection a big puppy like her brings, and constant entertainment for the whole family. It is known that Airedales generally take three years to leave the puppy phase. For Tilly, this took six years. Six silly overgrown-puppy years filled with quirks and trouble and an aversion to rules (why sit on command when she’d rather run?). Now Tilly is much more obedient, but will still take off running to feel the wind flapping her ears at any chance she gets- then come home breathless.  She’s a big girl who loves people and, of course, has never bitten anyone, but since she grew up as an ‘only dog’, learning how to play nicely with other dogs was never part of her education. Tilly has had great traveling opportunities all of her life, joining her family on all their excursions moving near and far, always one to appreciate a ride in the car. However, this next big move is the hardest one of all because Tilly cannot be a part of it. Circumstances require no big dogs at the new house, and as much as her family wishes she could continue to be an integral part of their lives, they’re forced to look for a new and loving home in which Tilly could spend the rest of her years.
