Maxx owners reluctantly have to give up Maxx at only 5 1/2 months old.  Maxx was adopted with a littermate sibling, something that is definitely not recommended and the result was the textbook problem with one pup becoming dominate over the other.  Maxx's owners did the right thing in allowing Maxx to have his own home free of sibling rivalries.
